Northern wood nymphs of Eropulouy.
Locations of the wood nymphs.
The wood nymphs exist in nearly all of the continent of Nata, from Nont Town in the north and to Roping City in the south. They also exist in the very northern parts of Dayla, all the way south to Erltie City. There has also been registered a few in the very north of Othoo, but they have most likely travelled from Roping City over to Eric City, which is a lovely vacationing spot. The wood nymphs are generally attracted to cold and snow.
In cities and towns they usually live in houses alike to those of a human's, whilst close to nature they build their own little communities or just a single house, out of lumber. Wood nymphs love nature.
General behaviour.
As they are nymphs, they enjoy the act of love more than the general human female does. Most of them love to flirt with men of other species, like the humans, half-humans, centaurs, elves or even beings of their own kind if the situation allows it.
The wood nymphs have a radiation that affects the target, giving them a warm and sensual feeling that, if intensed, could make them lose control of their own actions, and rather act from impulse. But the wood nymphs are not able to make love to a being out of control, if said being is unwilling to perform the act. The wood nymphs have a feeling of honour, and would never force sex upon someone.
They are inhumanly strong, and can bend metal with their bare hands. They never allow their lovers to physically or mentally hurt them, and will bend a horse shoe to prove their strength. They will firstly warn the lover the first time being abused, then release hell upon them the next time.
Breeding.
One would wonder how the wood nymphs came to life when 99% of them are female. The answer is very simple, as a wood nymph and a human man can produce both full-blooded wood nymphs and humans. These nymph-born humans carry the nymph gene, and could be able to have a wood nymph for a baby, but only if the other part also carries the nymph gene.
They have a high percentage of multiple births, from two to five at the time, but giving birth to one at the time isn't uncommon.
Their daughters have a fifty-five percent chance of becoming a wood nymph, while their sons have less than a percent chance of becoming one.
The nymph gene can either be recessive or dominant, depending on the carrier. The gene on the nymphs themselves is dominant, while in nymph-born humans it is recessive. This means that the human children often look like their father, while the nymph children usually look like their mother. A side note on this, if the mother has light skin and the father has dark skin, the young nymph still looks like the mother, but with a mixed skin colour.
Physical appearance.
Despite their residence, the wood nymphs have an exotic tan, ranging from a light golden colour to a chocolate brown. The skin colour often effects their eye colour and hair colour, the latter being everything from a medium brown to a seemingly pitch black. The eyes, however, seem to only have two different hues: green and amber.
Their height ranges between 160cm (5'2") and 175cm (5'9"), their size being anything between scrawny and plump. The size is usually suitable for the nymph in person: a skinny nymph would not look as attractive when chubby, while a plump nymph would not look as attractive when slender.
In comparison to the average human, their noses and mouths are little, while the eyes are large.
The most noticeable differences between humans and nymphs are the cow's tail that reaches their ankles, and the lynx ears that move like a cat's: layed back when angry; following sources of sound.
Male wood nymphs.
There are only six male wood nymphs in the world of Eropulouy, only one of which is heterosexual. Since the wood nymphs generally seduce men, this didn't change when the wood nymph was male.
Despite their gender, the male nymphs look very feminine and delicate like the females of their species. Soft lips, long eye-lashes, small noses, wavy and soft hair, and a delicate body shape.
They have the same radiation as the females have, and could easily make a man confused about his sexual tendency, but like the female nymphs, the male nymphs would never force anyone into sex.
The heterosexual male nymph and the homosexual female nymphs have a different radiation, that affects only women.
Other information:
A very little amount of half-humans have purposely bred forth children being 7/8 human, 1/16 lynx and 1/16 cow to produce a fake wood nymph. The reason behind it is unknown.
The legend says that all wood nymphs relate back to one particular wood nymph from many thousands of years ago, who is said to have appeared from another dimension.
Some people consider the wood nymphs evil, as they seduce people so easily. There have been a dangerous amount of murders caused by wood nymphs, though this percentage has decreased drastically the last thousand years.
The symbol for wood nymphs is a horse shoe.
